1. Introduction

Welcome to CourtSide Stats ("we", "our", or "us"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the CourtSide Stats application and website at courtsidestats.app (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

CourtSide Stats is a basketball statistics tracking platform that allows coaches, players, and teams to record, analyze, and manage game and player statistics. The Service includes features such as match tracking, player management, statistical analysis, AI-powered game analysis, and data export.

3. Account Registration

To use the Service, you must create an account by providing accurate and complete information, including your name, email address, and a password. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, you confirm that you have your parent's or legal guardian's consent to use the Service.

4. Subscription Plans and Payments

CourtSide Stats offers different subscription plans, including a free trial and paid plans (Individual and Pro). Paid plans are billed monthly through our payment processor, Stripe. By subscribing to a paid plan, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis.

• Prices are displayed in your local currency and include applicable taxes unless otherwise stated.
• You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
• We reserve the right to change pricing with at least 30 days' notice. Continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.
• Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact us at info@courtsidestats.app for refund requests.

5. Free Trial

The Pro plan includes a free trial of 3 matches with no credit card required. After the trial period or match limit is reached, you must subscribe to a paid plan to continue using premium features. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the free trial at any time.

6. Refunds and Cancellations

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting us. Upon cancellation, your subscription will remain active until the end of the current billing period. You will not be charged for subsequent billing periods.

Since the Service offers a free trial with no credit card required, refunds are generally not provided. However, we may consider refund requests on a case-by-case basis under the following circumstances:

• You were charged in error due to a technical issue.
• You were double-charged for the same billing period.
• You cancel within 14 days of your first paid subscription and have not extensively used the Service during that period.

To request a refund, contact us at info@courtsidestats.app with your account email and reason for the request. We aim to respond within 5 business days. Approved refunds will be processed through Stripe to your original payment method.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for its intended purpose of basketball statistics tracking and team management. You may not:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or our systems.
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.
• Upload or transmit any malicious code, viruses, or harmful content.
• Use automated tools to scrape, copy, or extract data from the Service.
• Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Service without our written consent.

8. User Content and Data

You retain ownership of the data you enter into the Service, including team information, player profiles, and match statistics ("User Content"). By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your User Content solely to provide and improve the Service.

You are responsible for ensuring that your User Content does not violate any third-party rights and that you have the necessary permissions to enter data about players on your team.

9. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, features, logos, and trademarks, is the exclusive property of CourtSide Stats and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the Service without our written permission.

10. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with third-party services, including:

• Firebase (Google) — for authentication and data storage.
• Stripe — for payment processing.
• Google AI — for AI-powered game analysis features.

Your use of these third-party services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party services.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if you violate these Terms or engage in behavior that is harmful to other users or the Service. Upon termination:

• Your access to the Service will be revoked.
• We may delete your account data after a reasonable retention period.
• You may request an export of your data before termination takes effect by contacting us.

You may also delete your account at any time through the account settings or by contacting us.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, CourtSide Stats and its owners, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, profits, or business opportunities, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.

Our total liability for any claim arising from your use of the Service is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

13. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. Statistical data and AI analysis are provided for informational purposes only and should not be relied upon as the sole basis for decisions.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Sweden. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved by the competent courts of Sweden.

15. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through the Service at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
